Sweet? Yes! Sticky? Yes! Spicy? Yes!
Love this recipe :)
Very simple recipe and easy to prepare.
Heat oil (I used olive oil) in a large skillet to medium high heat.
While skillet is heating up, prepare your sauce by mixing together the brown sugar, honey, soy sauce, ginger (I omitted the ginger from my recipe), garlic, and hot sauce in a small bowl.
Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Lightly coat both sides of chicken strips with flour. (This step is optional - I do it to make sure the chicken has a nice brown color and crunch once it hits the hot skillet.)
Place chicken onto hot skillet and cook a minute or two on each side. You may have to do this in a few batches. Try not to overcrowd the chicken so you can ensure evenly distributed heat. Cook the chicken on each side just long enough to sear it, not cook all the way. The idea is to get a nice brown color on each side of the chicken strips.
Once both sides of the chicken strips are browned, pour the sauce over the chicken.
It will be very hot and bubbly!
After a few minutes of bubbling, turn the heat down to a simmer. Let simmer about 10 minutes, until the sauce thickens and the chicken is completely cooked.
I like to serve this with rice and carrots or roasted green beans :)
